1.5 Watt Solar Panel

Each unit comes with a 1.5 Watt solar panel, and a nifty cable / connector that allows you to plug it into a car cigarette lighter socket and "reverse feed" the charge back into the car battery. The charge cable has an LED on it that flashes to indicate that charging is taking place.

For People that want to use this panel to charge other 12 Volt DC devices, we can only send you to Radio Shack to get a 12 volt cigarette lighter female socket so you can accept the power from this male plug for your other uses.

Please note that we can not accept a return of this item if you cut the plug off or otherwise modify the unit for your own (non authorized) uses. This is intended to reverse feed a car cigarette lighter socket to charge a car battery. If you see other uses for this solar panel I'm sure you are willing to assume the risks in messing with the wires, but again, mess with the wires and there are zero returns. Our advise would be to fully test the unit for it's originally designed use and make sure you are happy with it before you modify it and play mad scientist. Yes, that's the kind of stuff I would do (I'm Bryan, the owner of Epicenter and resident "mad scientist") but please don't ask us to take it back because you didn't think your project through. The price is so low, our profit is so low, it's just not worth offering this item if we end up with returns because it doesn't meet your power requirements and it's been modified.

Portable, compact, multi voltage Solar Panel

This solar panel generates 3, 6, 9 or 12 Volts and outputs current in the 50ma to 200ma range depending on voltage switch setting.

The panel has a built in cable with adapters (5 sizes) to connect to common power input plugs like coaxial style connectors and  1/8" and 1/16" connectors. It also has a 9 volt battery adapter, as well as two alligator clips to mate with other devices.

The cable also provides the ability to reverse the polarity of the "tip and sleeve" on all the adapter connectors, making the panel able to mate with nearly any device that as a DC input connector whether it has positive or negative tip wiring.
